In GeoLatinas we build community, and also bring up the leader in you! Our organization has created and led over 40 initiatives since 2020 to fulfill our aims and support our members around the world.
Any GeoLatinas’ member can create/lead a new initiative!

Conversando con GeoLatinas
This initiative has been running for 5 years! If you want to improve your conversational English and Spanish Skills, look for the registering form in our Slack! This is a members only initiative.
Mentoria
The GeoLatinas mentoring initiative pairs our members with professionals at different career stages to gain tools to advance their careers. To be a mentor keep an eye on our social media for new calls, and if you want to be a mentee look for new calls in our Slack. This is a members only initiative.
#FridayFeatureInGeo
GeoLatinas started as a Twitter account to connected Latinas in Earth and Planetary Sciences around the world. One of our fist initiatives was the #FridayFeatureinGeo. Every friday we share the profile of the life, science, work and thoughts on diversity of an inspiring GeoLatina. As for 2020, we have visibilized over 150 GeoLatinas from different parts of the world, in English, Spanish and Portuguese!!
Our team is currently welcoming new leaders, and planning strategies to substain this initiative for future GeoLatinas. Want to be part of the change? Contact us in our Slack!

Es un espacio para conectar GeoLatinas con nuestras comunidades, para charlar sobre temas solicitados y de interés entre escuelas, profesores, universidades, público en general y de cualquier edad con alguna de nuestras maravillosas GeoLatinas y científicas Latinoamericanas. GeoLatinas por Latinoamerica
GeoLatinas por Latinoamérica nace del anhelo de ayudar a nuestros países de origen. Buscamos dar más visibilidad a las universidades con carreras en Geociencias (geofísica, geología, geografía, geoquímica, etc.) que necesitan apoyo y recursos.
Queremos inspirar a las nuevas generaciones en primaria y secundaria para que estudien carreras de ciencias de la tierra y planetarias. Además, intentaremos que los estudiantes y jóvenes profesionales vean a las GeoLatinas como un apoyo para seguir aprendiendo y una ventana a especialidades y oportunidades.
