Initiatives chairs

Cristina Arrieta is a Mexican geologist with a master’s degree in Earth structure and dynamics, graduated from Utrecht University. Her expertise is in seismic interpretation and seal rock analysis, with over eight years of experience working in the energy sector on projects worldwide, focusing on hydrocarbon and geothermal exploration. Cristy is also a member of GeoLatinas since 2021 and a co-leader of the initiative GeoSeminars from GeoLatinas.

Lisbett is a Venezuelan researcher at CIGA UAdeC. She is a PhD student developing a project in environmental geochemistry. She is currently working with RunIPeG on a geoscience outreach project with a children’s perspective.

Sustainability chairs

Angelique is a Puerto Rican biologist – environmental scientist working on modern benthic foraminifera as bioindicators, currently doing her PhD at the College of Marine Science (University of South Florida). She focuses on science communication strategies and is an active GeoLatinas member since 2020.

 

Lina is a Colombian geoscientist who uses organic geochemistry and stable isotopes to reconstruct past climates in tropical regions. She is currently a Voss Postdoctoral Researcher at Brown University. Lina is also a science communicator, educator, and a GeoLatinas member since 2019.

 

Diana is a Colombian Geologist and Geophysicist, especialized in non-conventional resoruces. In GeoLatinas she is also part of the Mentoring subcommittee.
